Quality

NEERLANDIA-URK processes 130,000 kilos of fish per week. Every day we our under great pressure to make sure this large amount of food reaches the consumer in perfect state.

From the large fish auctions in Western Europe our quality inspectors notify us which batches of fish meet our highest quality standards. Only the best fish is purchased and delivered to us.

When the fish arrives an entrance check takes place. Then the fish is processes at a constant temperature below 5 degrees Celsius. Our building exceeds the accepted quality provisions. Thanks to the experience and vision of our management we go in front of the regulations in our line of business. And we are determined to keep it that way.

In our own lab taste tests are carried out. Then the fish is sampled and analyzed by an external lab. Only batches of fish that will still be of excellent quality when they are served to the consumer can be processed. In case of doubt or rejection the fish is unrelentingly excluded from being processed.

We are certified according to the standards of business quality (ISO 9001:2000), food quality (HACCP) and for deliveries to the English (BRC higher level) and German (IFS higher level) market. This necessitates strict rules within the company. All our employees, at any level within the company, our constantly trained and motivated.
